Wired for Sound is a 1981 album by Cliff Richard. The album spent 25 weeks in the UK album charts in 1981, peaking at number 4 on release. Two songs from the album - the title track and "Daddy's Home" - were also top ten hits, reaching number 4 and number 2, respectively. Globally the album has sold over 1.1m copies. The video for the song was filmed in the centre of Milton Keynes, the new town in Buckinghamshire, and showed Cliff rolling along on roller-skates and listening to music on a Walkman cassette player. Daddy’s Home was originally a US hit for Shep and the Limelight’s in 1961. The version included here was recorded live at the Hammersmith Odeon on May 1st 1981.
