‘RITU SAMHAAR’ the Concerto, is unparalleled in its various aspects – one of them being its uniqueness in bringing together, for the first time ever in the history of music, as many as thirty- one sitars. This accomplishment becomes particularly noteworthy when it is realized that in the tradition of performance of Indian Classical Music. Inspiration for this concerto was derived by Kartick Kumar from the Beautiful description of the seasons in Sri Aurobindo’s “SAVITRi” one fo the greatest spiritual epics of our time.
